In loving memory of my Dad...
who shared his memories of Iwo Jima at the age of 17.
He was responsible for my interest in World War II, and Veterans.
The nearest Veterans' hospital is 5 hours from our town,
so he had to stay in a rest home 60 miles south, to get dialysis.
This led me to ask myself.. If we cannot take care of our Veterans,
our heroes, who gave us FREEDOM, we need to think, and change our ways.
We need to push this country to take care of those who took care of us.
My Dad was one of my best friends, and I miss him dearly.
I will always regret that my illness kept me from taking care of him,
and protecting him, as he did for the USA and me.
Everything I do on this website, will be with you in mind, Dad.
And that ensures my dream of being a part of helping Veterans,
even when the government fails so miserably at times.
This is also for every Veteran..
Who was faithful to his country,
after being sent to War at a very young age.
Who earned medals, who did what he was ordered to do,
and was thanked by getting an undesirable discharge
for going awol after he returned to the USA, due to PTSD.
Shame on our government!
Shame on those who spit on Veterans
as they arrived 'home' with such relief.. and guilt.
Shame on the government,
who has left AMERICAN Soldiers to fall in the cracks,
because it is cheaper and easier to forget them!
And now, it is up to us to help.. in any way possible.
So many veterans are denied benefits,
because they fell apart after arriving back on USA soil..
and after doing what their country asked.
Even if you disagree with war,
you cannot disagree with the bravery and honor of our Veterans.
It is time we helped them, and thanked them
for their Patriotism.
What are our goals?
I are here simply to honor our VETERANS.
I WILL make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families.
And I will do everything possible to honor and assist them,
while never treading on their dignity.
Thank you, every Veteran, for all you have given.. ty4freedom!
I will be adding information, Veterans photos and memories,
as my illness permits.
In reality, I know it will be a lifetime labor of love.
Our Veterans deserve however long this takes.. and more.
Thank you, Mom, for taking care of me every day, while never complaining.
You have always been so positive and fill me with encouragement.
Thank you for helping me purchase this website
to fulfill a dream you know I have had for so very long.
I will do everything in my power to pay you back..
in ways that do not always spell m.o.n.e.y.
And I will always be so grateful and thankful
for having the best Mom and Dad ever.
I need to say 'Thank You' to my sister and brothers,
they are always happy for my few accomplishments.
Special thanks to every Veteran who allows me to honor you!
this site, this dream, will prove itself.
You are right, I don't have to.
